Opening and printing worksheets

Using Worksheets

Therapist Aid worksheets are typically PDF files, which are opened and printed either from your web browser or a PDF reader (e.g., Adobe Acrobat). Read our help article about PDF readers if you are having technical issues opening or viewing PDF files.

Customizable worksheets are downloaded as DOC or DOCX filetypes. These are opened using word processing software such as Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, or Google Docs.

Tips for Printing Worksheets

The instructions for printing a worksheet will differ based on your device, your PDF reader, and your printer. However, a few tips will improve how your worksheets look:

  • In print settings, select the option “Actual Size” to fill as much of the page as possible.
  • If the printed page appears cut off, choose “Fit to Page” instead of "Actual Size.”
  • Most printing issues can be fixed by choosing the print option “Print as Image” (exact phrasing may differ based on your device).
  • If you are printing a worksheet that uses color and you prefer grayscale, most printers offer this as an option in print settings. Our color worksheets are always designed to look great in grayscale, too.
